Dog's tail red & bleeding after tick removal, won't let me touch it. What to do?

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Female | 10 years and 10 months old | 59 lbs

I removed a tick on the tail of my dog I usuly use pills anti tick and fleas but this month I couldn't afford it. However her tail now is very red only the part where the tick was and she tries to remove her hair from this part it's bleeding a bit. What should I do? Please your help is needed she doesn't let me touch it I think she is in pain.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Moka. I recommend placing an E-collar on her to start. This will stop her from licking the wound. Then she will need to see her veterinarian. You want to make sure that the entire tick was fully removed. The veterinarian will decide if any treatment is necessary. I would start her back on flea and tick prevention when you are able to do so. I hope this information helps!
