My dog is scratching & biting her tail after Capstar. Is it normal?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 4 years and 4 months old | 50 lbs

Hi I gave my dog capstar yesterday and today she's scratching and biting her tail alot today is that normal.

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Excessive skin itchiness is listed as one of the potential side effects of Capstar. The symptoms are supposed to be mild and transient. Sadie should be back to normal within 24-48hrs, if not please, take her to your local vets for a check.

    I should have mentioned that if Sadie is scratching a lot you may have to change the flea treatment to a different product. If you want to continue with tablet flea treatment you can go for Bravecto - this is a long acting anti-flea and tick prevention.
