My dog ate bird seeds and is throwing up. When can he eat again?

My pet ate a lot of small bird seeds yesterday and is puking all the food since then. I gave him stemetil and domstal so far. When should i give him food and water? He's sleeping all day. Also no blood in vomit or stool. And he passed the stool lot more than usual. Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 6 days old | 8.8 lbs

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. You should start offering him small amount of water about 1.5-2hrs after the had the tablets. Start with 2-3 tablespoon of water and if he drinks it and keeps it down, you can slowly increase the volume of water every 45-60 minutes. If he is not sick after water, you can introduce some bland food, for example cooked chicken or white fish and give that to him every 2-3 hrs. You can add a bit of rice or pasta into it. If everything goes well, you should be able to put him back on his regular food within 24-48hrs.
