Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year and 3 months old
Hi - I have been worried about my cat for about a week now. We noticed that he was nibbling at his fur in his groin region, so we de-flead him, our other cat, and the house, but he still seems to be doing it. As you can see, the fur has become very thin in that area where he is pulling it out (in the photo, we have bathed it with some water and diluted hibiscrub). Do you know what this might be and how we can help him?

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Duncan. Poor boy, that's a lot of hair loss. He could have a flea allergy if he had fleas before, this could be due to mites, or it could be he's over-grooming from stress or illness. Without seeing him in person, I can't say for sure what is going on. I'd have him seen by a vet to have this diagnosed and treated. Best of luck.
