Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Small (up to 22lb) | Female | spayed | 10 years and 9 months old | 16.9 lbs
Doctor, I would really appreciate a consultation/ second opinion for my mixed terrier, 11 years old, spayed female. Attached herewith 2 views of her liver and result blood test . She was diagnose with liver inflamed and presribed Demanarin for 2 week. And Doxycycline for antibiotics pre existing positive E-Cams. The reason to vet visit is she had been very good appetite lately, and gain weight. However, her stomach area had gotten bigger/swollen and im worried. Thank you very much in advanc

Hello. Her liver values are not bad at all, & her liver does not look enlarged. You might want to request a test to look at bile acids & perhaps an abdominal ultrasound to see if the x-ray has missed something in the abdomen. Finish the Doxycycline, & see if she truly has Ehrlichiosis or if this is just a red herring. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
