My dog's paw pad is cut and bleeding. When should I see a vet?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Male | neutered

My dog cut his pad and it was bleeding but not a lot. I wiped it with benodine and wrapped it up with gauze.

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Pad cuts are often deep and require stitching as they don't heal well when left for granulation. Most of the dogs will make it bleed again once start putting full weight on the leg. Please, inspect the wound, and if there is deep wound or part of the pad was sliced, you should take Duke to your vets for a stitch up.
