My cat's torn nail bandage is a problem. How long should it stay?

Our cat Charlie tore his front nail this past Saturday. It was trimmed and bandaged at the vet. He got convenia and rx for clavamox. How long does he need the bandage wrap on? He is having much difficulty with it on. We can't cone him because of his arthritis and fear he'll fall. Our vet doesn't want him licking it, but we're home to keep an eye on him and can clean in daily. I'm just looking for another opinion. Hopefully we can remove it and watch him. Thankyou

Poor kitty. Typically we keep bandages on wounds like this for roughly 2-3 days. I would consider getting it removed at this point, especially since this isn't a severe cut to the actual skin and should therefore heal a lot quicker. I hope that this helps and best of luck with your pet Charlie moving forward. Take care. : )
