Thank you for submitting your question regarding Skyler. I am sorry to hear that he is not feeling better. While stress can cause gastrointestinal signs, he may be more sick than just being stressed. Typically if a dog is dehydrated, the hematocrit (HCT) will be elevated on blood work. However, his was at the lower end of the reference range. This makes it less likely that he was significantly dehydrated. I worry that there is something else contributing to his signs. If he does not start feeling better today, further work up such as fecal testing and abdominal x-rays may be warranted. Testing him for pancreatitis could be helpful. Small breed dogs can be prone to neck or back pain. So checking for this could help as well. He will need to see his veterinarian again if he is not feeling better within 24 hours from coming home. I hope this information helps!
