Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Female | spayed | 7 years and 10 months old | 17 lbs
I’ve been giving my dog some of the hills science diet t/d diet as treats (the regular size bites) and I noticed the other day that her stool had what appeared to be a bit of what looked like the t/d kibble that wasn’t broken down completely. It appeared to resemble the shape of the actual kibble. I have watched her eat them and she does chew them up. So I’m a bit confused to why I saw this I’m her stool. Is this normal? Thanks. Is it ok to keep feeding them?

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. I think it is a coincident that a part of her stool looked like a kibble. I cannot imagine that a whole kibble went through her gastrointestinal tract without being digested. Please, keep an eye on her stools and if you see more of potentially undigested food, Chloe may need a blood test to check her pancreas function.
