Would a young dog without a history of bladder stones experience negative digestion effects if they ate Hill's Prescription C/D? Our senior dog eats the wet and dry version as prescription, but the younger one will "clean up" after him as he leaves a mess. Our 2 y/o pup has had rocky digestion for a long time, but lately won't eat his usual food (despite still wanting treats and almost only wanting to eat the senior dog's food) and also has had inconsistent stool.

Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. If your Montgomery only 'cleans up' the bowels he will not get into any problems. Regarding the inconsistent stools, it may be caused by variations in his diet (treats, C/D food and his regular food). You should try and get him a probiotic and add it to each meal for 5-7 days. That should help to regulate his bowel movements.
