My 3-day-old lamb's gums are gray. What's wrong and what should I do?

Pet's info: Farm Animal | Sheep | Male | unneutered | 3 days old | 6 lbs

I have a 3 day old lamb and his gums r more gray than pink...what could b wrong and what do I have to do to get him well?

Without pictures it is impossible to assess but I recommend you also check the colour of the inside eyelids to compare as gums can have pigment which can appear grey naturally. If his eyelids are a similar colour or if he is displaying any signs of weakness, poor appetite or shortness of breath it may be a sign of a heart, lung or circulation problem and should be checked and treated by a vet depending upon the physical exam findings. Unfortunately in this age group, birth defects and aspiration pneumonia would be possible so an early diagnosis is important
