Hello and thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. The wound looks angry and inflamed, not healing well at the moment. It is most likely a result of Jasper biting it overnight. First of all, you need to stop him from biting the wound otherwise it will not heal. Head cone will work best. Then, you need to clean the wound with boiled, warm water and and cotton buds. Once the wound is clean, apply the ointment prescribed by your vet.
