My French bulldog has a red bump on her vulva and she tries to scratch it by scooting or she tries to do it with her paw.

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Lilo. That could be a cyst, an infected area, or a growth. She's doing these behaviors because it's bothering her. I'd have her seen by a vet first thing in the morning to get this diagnosed and treated. Best of luck.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This could be a benign or malignant growth. There is no way of knowing for sure without an examination though this represents a reason to seek veterinary care. This is usually determined with an examination and a fine needle aspirate (FNA) or a biopsy. Treatment depends on the findings up to that point. My 14 wk French bulldog puppy has a small red lump on his belly. Doesn’t seem to be in any pain or discomfort.
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This could potentially be an abscess. I would highly recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. This is usually treated with local therapy with drainage, flushing and and debridement as well as systemic antibiotics. Good luck and have a good day!

Our Frenchie bulldog is experiencing red bumps on his legs and stomach and Scratching constantly. It’s been like this for a few days and have worsen. I gave him children’s Benadryl to calm down the itching but it worked for a little while then bumps
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This is possibly due to allergies. It really comes down to figuring out what is causing his allergies so that they can be treated or the specific allergen avoided. A secondary infection is likely and also needs to be addressed. There are medications such as Apoquel or prednisone which may help with the itch. There are many things that can cause allergies though in most cases they can be broken down into 3 big categories: flea, food and environmental allergies.  Allergies are usually worked up in a stepwise fashion starting with flea allergies as this is the easiest and cheapest to take care of. If not on a flea preventative, then it would be a good idea to get started on one. If already on one then it would be a good idea to change to something else (there are many new products out in the market).  If not improved in 1-3 months then it is time to move on and check for food allergies by switching to a novel diet (new protein and new carbohydrate). Hi there and thank you for using Boop by Petco to address your concern! It is difficult to say what this could be just from looking at the picture but it looks like a benign skin tumor. However, there is no definitive way to say what this is without testing it. At home, I would try and prevent Lahti from dragging her hind end on the ground. You can find dog diapers that you can put on her to help prevent this. Also, if she is licking or chewing at the area, I would recommend putting a plastic cone around her head. Both the diaper and cone can typically be found online or at a pet store. I hope this helps! This could be an insect bite or an infected hair follicle / pimple. I would keep an eye on this for the next 3-5 days and if it does not go away or it worsens, I would recommend having a veterinarian examine her so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. My 1 year old female French bulldog has sores on her vagina. She is spayed. A male dog did recently lick her a lot down there so that may be linked to it being sore or having started. She doesn’t seem to be in pain. What does it look like it could be
Thank you for submitting your question regarding Fiona. She appears to have a mild skin infection on her vulva. I recommend bathing her with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to help soothe the skin. Then place an E-collar on her to prevent any licking. If it is not healing, then I recommend that she sees her veterinarian. I hope this information helps!

My 5 month old puppy has red bumps around her genitalia area. I was wondering whether I should freak out by taking her to the vet, or just picking something up.
Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This looks like a focal infection. You can try to use a medicated shampoo containing chlorhexidine twice weekly for 2 weeks. I’m dog sitting a French bulldog for a couple of months and I’ve noticed these bumps developing under his fur, when I look under his fur some have dry crusty bloody scabs, some have a weird grey color and are crusty. They seem to be all over his body
It looks like Banjo has a skin infection. These are usually bacterial in nature, but sometimes it can be from a fungus or yeast. Banjo should see a veterinarian for an exam and treatment. This will likely consist of a medicated shampoo and an oral antibiotic. Thank you for using Boop by Petco.

My french bulldog has little bumps on her legs and a little around her groin she's been de flead and isnt due for 2 weeks.
Small bumps like this on the skin are usually a sign of a bacterial skin infection called pyoderma - this can occur on its own, or due to an underlying skin problem like allergies or skin mites (mange). You can try bathing her in a chlorhexidine dog shampoo to see if this helps. If not, or if the bumps seems to be spreading or if they become itchy or painful, it would be best to have her examined by a vet. He/she can do a simple test called a skin scrape to help diagnose the problem and get her started on appropriate medication to treat it.

Hi, my dog has these really weird bumps on her vagina, and I was hoping to figure out what’s wrong.
This presentation could be due to a localized spot of skin infection (likely to be caused by bacteria). A check up, appropriate disinfection and possibly antibiotics (oral, topical or in a shampoo formulation) are needed to solve the problem. Disinfection may be started at home with very diluted hibiscrub or betadine or salted water baths. Buster collar may be useful as well to avoid any licking.
