My dog is sick with stomach moving, drooling, no vet. What can I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed | Female | 11 years and 4 months old

Hello! My dog Yoda has experienced Kennel Cough symptoms from her mother who has now recovered. There is something moving on her stomach, and there’s saliva dripping from her mouth. I don’t know what should we do, there is no vet in our area due to the quarantine period. Thank you.

Thank you for submitting your question regarding Yoda. I would continue to seek a veterinarian to care for her as she sounds sick. If this is just not possible, then you can try to help her at home. I worry that she will become dehydrated if she is not eating and drinking properly. Try to offer small amounts of food and water. Low sodium chicken broth can help keep her hydrated. If she is congested, then you can place her in the bathroom while you shower. Close the door and let the steam build up in the room. Breathing the warm humid air can lessen congestion. Do not give any over-the-counter medications as these can be toxic to dogs. I hope this information helps!
