My cat's vomiting smells like poop and is chunky/watery. What's wrong?

My 2 year old healthy rag doll started vomiting this morning. At first it was quite chunky but then it became watery. It has a faecal smell to it.

Oh that's not good. I'm concerned about Kevin, he sounds pretty sick. Given how long he's been vomiting, I think he needs to see a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. He could have an infection, parasites, metabolic disease (liver, kidney), endocrine disease (thyroid, diabetes), or an obstruction. The best thing would be to have him examined by veterinarian to determine the exact cause and best treatment. You're vet can run lab work and take x-rays, if needed, to help diagnose and treat the problem. If he is dehydrated your vet can give fluids and medications to help control the vomiting.

Poor Baby! I would be worried too, as that is a fair number of times to vomit in such a short period of time. He could have a severe GI illness, may have eaten something toxic, could have a foreign body, or pancreatitis. Given how many times he's been vomiting, I think it's best that he is seen by a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. Hi my almost 2 year old female cat has watery diharea and is throwing up a mucus flemmy yellowery sick
Oh no, poor Toffee! She sounds quite sick at the moment, and her vomiting and diarrhea could be caused by a GI illness, eating something rotten or toxic, a foreign body, or pancreatitis. I see that she isn't spayed, and her symptoms could also be caused a pyometra, which is a life threatening infection of the uterus. When a cat is having both diarrhea and vomiting, it's time to see a vet immediately to prevent her from getting severely dehydrated and sicker. She does need veterinary attention now, please take her into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. Cat vomited, is walking oddly, and seems lethargic. He also defecated outside of his litter box which isn't in his usual behavior to do this. When I tried to approach him he flinched.
Poor kitty! He sounds very ill, and given his behavior, I would have him seen by a vet right away. He could have gotten into something toxic, could have a foreign body, pancreatitis, or have a severe GI illness. The vet can diagnose what is causing his symptoms, and can treat him for it. This is a medical emergency, and Lucky needs to see a vet immediately. He could be suffering from a foreign body, GI polyps, or GI tumors causing him to vomiting, not be able to poop, and not eat or drink. He needs veterinary treatment now. Moe became ill 2 days ago. First he vomited a grayish hairball log, he's a black cat, then he started to vomit liquid only, not eating moving slowly very lethargic..my vet is closed 9/7/20 I'm very worried..
Poor Moe! From what you're describing here, I'm afraid he sounds quite sick. Vomiting, not eating, and acting lethargic are always very concerning symptoms, especially since he's been sick for 2-3 days now and seems to be getting worse. Unfortunately, these are very vague symptoms that could be caused by almost any kind of illness, so it's hard to say what might be wrong without being able to examine him and run some tests. I do think that this sounds like a serious, potentially life-threatening problem that shouldn't wait until tomorrow, so I would recommend taking him to an emergency clinic today to be seen. If you're not sure where to go, try calling your regular vet's office - their voicemail message should have contact information for your nearest ER or an on-call doctor for emergencies.

What should I do to help my cat? He has all of a sudden started to have diarrhea and vomiting as well

Vomiting and diarrhea can occur secondary to conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, dietary indiscretion, parasites, among other possibilities. I recommend that you have Kalvin evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. At the very least they can start him on medications to make him feel better and check his hydration status. In the meantime, keep water available at all times to try to prevent dehydration. Hello, my cat is suddenly pooping in odd places, has thrown up, is hiding, doesn't want to move, and irritable. He's indoor only, no change in food or litter. And his litter box is clean. What could be wrong? When should I take him to the vet?
It sounds as Coco is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.
