Why is my cat struggling to breathe, drooling, not eating or standing?

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 10 years and 7 months old | 26 lbs

my cat has been in and out of the vet the last couple days due to change in behaviour and has progressively gotten worse in the last 24 hours, he is currently struggling to breathe normally and drooling. It’s also very hard for him to stand and he will not eat or drink

Thank you for contacting Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach with your question about Scamper. I wish this was something that could be treated at home, but it cannot. He sounds very sick, and he does need to see a vet now. Please take him into an ER vet clinic; if there isn't one in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. I hope this helps.

    Hello. I am so sorry for your concerns about Charlie. It sounds like he may have sustained some type of trauma, such as being hit by a car, or he has some kind of a respiratory infection. Regardless, this is not something that you can handle or treat at home. The sooner you can have Charlie seen by a veterinarian, the faster he will begin to feel better.
