How many days to use Pred Forte and Fucithalmic for dog eye infection?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 6 months old | 6 lbs

My vet recommended to put pred forte eye drop and fucithalmic eye ointment half an hour apart in the morning and evening to my dog’s eye for his eye infection. I need to know for how many days should I be using this medicine for my dog’s eye. Thank you.

Hello. It would be best to check with your veterinarian to see what he was thinking. Most often, these medications are only needed for 7-10 days for if the condition does not clear up in this time period, the diagnosis may need to be re-evaluated. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
