Why is my dog eating bird poop? Could it be due to acidity or worms?

Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | 9 years and 7 months old | 37.4 lbs

Hello sir my dog is eating poop of birds,he is so desperate to eat it.what will be the reason.He is suffering from acidity,not severe but I am giving him sucraflate when needed maybe 1 or 2 times when he shows symptoms.He is 9 year old mixed breed having 37.4 lbs

I suggest you have him dewormed as he may be getting worms from eating the bird poop. We don't know why dogs eat bird poop but many dogs do. While it is not recommended there is not really anything you can do to stop him other than keeping him physically away from it. This probable is not related to the stomach acid or sucralfate administration.
