When will my dog improve after Bayer dewormer for roundworms?

My terrier has what looks like round worms so I gave him Bayer quad dewormer. Does this product work right away? And will I see improvement in my dog soon? Pet's info: Dog | Fell Terrier | Male | unneutered | 1 year and 6 months old | 13.4 lbs
