My rat has a soft, bulky spot. Is it a fatty lump or something else?

Hello, I noticed yuki having a very soft bold spot which is bulky, she is a heavy rat (506g) and healthy, except lazy, and I was wondering what could this be because it doesnt feel like a cyst as it's very soft like a fatty tissue but it could be something else, and I am not quiet sure. She became less active and curious, i am very concerned for her health as she just fell off of her hammock, but she is breathing fine and eating fine, drinking and urinating.

Thanks for reaching out about Yuki and including photos. Soft masses in the axilla or inguinal areas, are often mammary in nature. Most mammary tumors in rats are benign but not all. A veterinary visit is recommended to assess and provide a treatment plan. A second possibility is a fatty tumor (lipoma) which are also benign. Good luck.
