Why is my 7-month kitten suddenly aggressive? Is she in heat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 10 lbs

My kitten is 7 months old and hasnt shown prior signs of aggression but attacked my friend out of the blue tonight. I think she may possibly have gone into heat?

It's possible but unfortunately, with out being able to observe the behavior, it's impossible to say. This link may help: https://vcahospitals.com/know-your-pet/estrus-cycles-in-cats I recommend to have Cheddar examined by the veterinarian. I also recommend to have her spayed. There are many health and behavioral benefits as well it stops any potential for kittens which will contribute to pet over population: https://www.petcoach.co/article/spaying-ovariohysterectomy-the-benefits-in-cats/ I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
