My purebred Lab accidentally mated. Will her puppies be purebred?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Labrador Retriever | Female | 1 year and 5 months old | 25 lbs

Good Evening! I am Yen. I have a labrador who happens to be mated trice already with one male labrador. One was 5 days ago, next was 3 days ago and the last one was yesterday. Unfortunately, my lab was accidentally mated other dog from somewhere and not a labrador. I wanted to have a pure breed lab. What will be the possible result on this? Please help me. Thank you!

There is no way we can tell you if she will have purebred labrador puppies or not. If you only want purebreds then you will have to have this pregnancy terminated by your vet with a mis-mating injection and then you will need to try again on her next heat cycle. She is a bit young to be breeding anyway. Dogs should be 18-24 months old before breeding.
