Pet's info: Dog | Doberman Pinscher | Female | spayed | 7 years old | 77 lbs
Yesterday was my dog’s birthday, I baked her a all-meat chicken/veal cake with lactose free yogurt frosting & some fruit, these are things she has eaten before without issue. She had some of the cake at 9pm. This morning she went potty and I gave her her usual Golden Paste in some raw mince (she’s raw fed), and not long after she starts to repeatedly swallow and lip licking, then went outside and eat grass. Swallowing has settled a little now but could it be the cake? no diarrhea or vomiting

It could be the cake, especially if she has never had all those ingredients at once or in the amounts that she had eaten last night. Unfortunately, it could also be unrelated. The lip licking and grass eating could indicate she is feeling nauseous. Here is a link about vomiting which may help: https://www.petcoach.co/article/vomiting-in-dogs/ The fasting and the bland diet may help. Make sure she is drinking small amounts of water frequently. Have her examined by the veterinarian if needed. I hope this helps and happy birthday to Mika!
