Why does my cat bite and try to carry me like a mother cat?

Hi, I know a mother cat will pick up its kitten to carry it to a new spot. Why would my cat be trying to do this to me? She will be kneading and then bite my face or arm. I let her bite my arm and she tried to back up with it like she was also trying to carry me.. Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 10 months old
