Why does my cat bite and try to carry me like a mother cat?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 10 months old

Hi, I know a mother cat will pick up its kitten to carry it to a new spot. Why would my cat be trying to do this to me? She will be kneading and then bite my face or arm. I let her bite my arm and she tried to back up with it like she was also trying to carry me..

It's possible Pickles IS trying to take you somewhere with her! It's also possible she has learned this will get your attention. Cats can be so quirky! I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
