How to treat a dog with severe itching and rashes all over its body?

Hi, Snow is a Indian female stray dog, I have been seeing her since last few days that she is having itching for almost 24hrs and developed rashes all over her body. Pls find attached pics for ur reference. Pls advise on her treatment, is Neomec 10mg , Augmentin (both in half qty) will cure her?

Hello. Antibiotics may help, but probably will not cure Snow. I would recommend weekly medicated baths using a product with benzoyl peroxide &/or weekly dipping with a product containing lime sulfur. This is antibacterial & antifungal & will also kill some parasitic mites. Weekly treatments for a month is often very helpful & may be curative. If you think she needs antibiotics, it is best to see a veterinarian as to what is best & how much to give. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

    Thank you for submitting your question regarding Snow. You can try to bathe her with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner such as an oatmeal or fatty acid based formula as this can help to soothe the skin. This should help it to heal a bit and reduce her desire to itch. If not, she will need to see a veterinarian though. I hope this information helps!
