My dog barks and gets upset when my other dog has a seizure. Why?

I have a 6 year old, 90 pound female Shepard mix. (spayed). She was poisoned several months ago and had major seizures which we have been able to control with diet and supplements. She was diagnosed with hepatic encephalitis. We have 3 other dogs. One, Bo, a 2 year old male, about 30-35 pounds (neutured) gets extremely upset when Nikki has a seizure. He barks (no growling or snarling) but kind of goes after her. I don't believe he has bit her but I need to know what the behavior means. Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Medium (23 - 60lb) | Male | neutered | 2 years and 10 months old | 30 lbs

Poor Bo. It is likely he is sensing the seizure and seeing it happen is causing him a lot of distress. Either because he doesn't quite understand what is going on (IE your other dog is acting oddly), or he is very concerned. If a seizure does happen, it is best to separate the dogs until the seizure is over and your dog has rested, to avoid any accidental injury. If you are not there to monitor them (IE away from the home), keeping them crated or in different rooms may help prevent an injury if a seizure occurs while you are away.
