Why is my cat begging for food, eating little, and stumbling?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 11 months and 15 days old

Hello, my little Gini who is going to be one in a few days is acting quite weird lately. Despite being ‘worm free’ she keeps begging for food at several moments of the day and once fed she eat just a little, she also stumbles a lot while walking. How to know whether she is really hungry or she is asking for something else. Thanks!

Cats typically are grazers where they like to eat little bits of food throughout the day instead of one or two bigger meals. Just try not to overfeed her so she doesn't get too heavy. I do think you should have her checked by a vet though because any new behaviors should be checked out to rule out any underlying medical issues. I'm a bit worried about the stumbling......that does not sound normal.
