My cat is very sick, not eating, panting. What if I can't afford a vet?

My 6 yr old female cat has been acting funny. It started about a week ago. She wanted to sleep in her carrier. (A little unusual.) Wasn't eating food but did drink water and use the litter box. She has slowly become worse. Now she is not eating and acts like she does not have the energy to stand up. She is panting and crying. I am afraid she is dying. I have no car to take her to the vet or money once we get there. Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed
