My dog is vomiting white jelly. What should I do and when to worry?

female 3 year old . Saved as a pup from a feral dog pack. In the past hour the dog has vomited at least 6 times. The first time, it was a white jelly like substance with some small white solids. I broke them up and smelled them and it might be some dairy stuff

Poor Josesey. Feed her a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If she refuses to eat the bland diet, she vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.

Thanks for using Boop by Petco! I'm sorry to hear Jasy had a vomiting issue. For any GI upset, a bland diet (such as white rice and plain boiled white meat chicken) that is easily digestible is a good option. If chicken isn't an option for her, very lean ground beef browned in a skillet with no oil is another good option. If she continues vomiting, doesn't want to eat or otherwise starts acting ill, then I would recommend having her evaluated by her regular veterinarian. Good luck!

I have a dog she's 9 she had been vomiting white coloration fluid and her appetite has been poor. She's keeping herself isolated and mostly around cool places around the house. Please let me know what can be done asap
You could withhold food for the day and then try a bland diet, like boiled chicken and white rice, if the vomiting stops. If it continues or she becomes lethargic, then she needs to be examined by a veterinarian determine the exact cause and treat her problem. She could have an infection, parasite, kidney/liver disease, endocrine disease, pancreatitis, obstruction, etc. You vet can run lab work and take an x-ray, if needed, to help diagnose and prescribe medications to help control the vomiting and prevent dehydration.

My 3 year old Labrador retriever vomited a bit last night, containing about a tablespoon of what looks like bright red jelly. She threw up again today in greater amounts, but no red or black stuff. Drinking and eating normally, still very enthusiasti
I would be concerned that Shadow was throwing up blood yesterday, but given that you are seeing any more of that red jelly substance, it could be something that she ate. Her vomiting could also be caused by a GI illness, intestinal parasites, or a foreign body. Because she is eating and drinking normally, and otherwise behaving normally, I can give you a home remedy to try to see if that helps. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in her normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, she vomits the bland diet, vomits the red jelly substance again, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, she will need to see a vet right away.

Hi my 5 month old pup SHADOW vomits this evening. It was whitish in color. He was acting bit aggresively from then. What should we do. And what should we give him to eat tonight. Please help !!!
I would just give him a small dose of plain white boneless skinless chicken and white rice to help settle his tummy. If he is acting lethargic or continues to have vomiting or diarrhea, I would have a vet take a look at him. Small dogs like him can quickly get dehydrated. I hope this helps and he starts to feel better soon!

My 5 month old pup has had diarrhoea and then passed what I can describe as white ish jelly. This has happened once before so I'm wondering if it's something I should be getting checked by my local vet?? Thanks
The white jelly, or mucus, can be indicative of inflammation in the colon. If Last is behaving normally otherwise, you can try withholding food for 24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or an unflavored electrolyte replacement beverage. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts until the stool is normal. Afterwards, transition slowly to the regular diet. If the diarrhea doesn't resolve or if she develops other symptoms (lethargy, vomiting, loss of appetite) then she should be examined by your veterinarian.

My dog after eating today began to vomit white dense foam. I gave it proto bismal but it got votmited afret a fue minutes. This happened around 6pm now 9pm she is producing saliva and slightly shaking. She is gloomy and resting beside me.

I just asked about Nessa shivering/shaking and seeming groggy, I also forgot to mention, she vomited a little this morning also. Does this change the urgency of her possible condition??

My small dog vomit 6 times this day. . There is no vet avsilable in our place. . What can i do
Try withholding all food for 24 hours. Allow small amounts of water or unflavored PediaLyte. Resume feeding a bland diet in small, frequent amounts. Begin with one tablespoon of food every hour and gradually increase the amount as long as there is no vomiting. Feed bland until there is no vomiting for 24-48 hours then transition slowly to her regular diet. A bland diet can be plain white rice mixed with one of the following: scrambled eggs, cottage cheese, cooked/ drained ground beef (or ground turkey) or boiled boneless/skinless chicken breasts. If the vomiting persists or if Jazz develops diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite or abdominal pain then you will need to bring her to a veterinarian for an exam and treatment.

It sounds like she could have some gastric and intestinal upset. You could withhold food for 12 hours and then offer her a bland diet, like boiled chicken and white rice and see if that helps. If the vomiting continues and/or she becomes lethargic than she needs to be seen by a vet. She could have an infection, parasites, pancreatitis, inflammatory bowel disease, kidney/liver disease, endocrine disease, etc. Your vet can run lab work and take x-rays, if needed, to help diagnose and then prescribe medications to help treat.
