My cat has too many kittens for her nipples. Will they all get fed?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | 1 year and 2 months old

The number of kittens in my cat’s litter is greater than the number of her teats. Does that necessarily cause trouble or can the mother usually manage feeding her kittens?

Yes, not having enough teats means the kittens may need supplemental feedings. She may also need help with general care for the babies. I recommend to get the kitten formula KMR if possible.
