Why is my dog seeing things, trembling, and throwing up food?

Our 14 month old BMC mix started behaving strangely last week, as if she were seeing and hearing things, staring at the ceiling, trembling, heart racing. Also, her stomach has been off, still has her appetite but we have to give her 1/2 portions or she throws up soon after. There have not been any changes in our house or environment either, just the usual change of seasons here in NY. Thoughts? Pet's info: Dog | Mixed Breed Large (61lb +) | Female | spayed | 2 months and 16 days old | 60 lbs

Kelly could be showing signs of a neurologic disease if she seems disoriented during these episodes where she seems to hear or see things. It’s also possible that she has developed anxiety, or that she is painful. The vomiting could be a sign of a gastrointestinal problem. I think it sounds like you should make an appointment with your vet to have her examined and discuss the behavior change in more detail. A thorough physical exam would rule out pain and potentially a neurologic problem.
