Cat born with throat hole, prone to infections. What's a permanent fix?

Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Female | spayed | 2 years and 2 months old | 5.95 lbs

My cat has a hole in her throat, she was born with it... the vet said she may be prone to infections,, she is on anti-bioctics at the moment, but is there something which can be done on a permanant level? Thanks

Hello. I do not know what you mean by a hole in the throat. Is it through the skin, or is this a cleft in the soft palate? If you could post a picture, perhaps we can be clearer as to what might be done with Atiri. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.
