Will neutering my male cat change his loving, lap cat personality?

Hello my male cat tyga is booked in to get spayed my only concern is he is such a loving and friendly and happy cat who is very much a lap cat and always with me, my concern is that will getting him spayed change the way he is now with being a lap cat and so loving ? Thank you. Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Male | unneutered

Thank you for your question about Tyga. If this is a male cat getting neutered (not sure if that is what you mean, or if in the UK they call both procedures being spayed) then it should not cause him to be any less loving. In most cases it will help calm and settle a male cat who otherwise as he matures would be more likely to want to roam or be aggressive.
