My cat's eye is cloudy and blue, but she seems fine. Should I worry?

My cats right eye has gone a cloudy dark blue colour. Should I be worried? It started months ago with the right eye pupil staying diluted & not shrinking with the left. Then over time the whole eye has become a dark bluey colour. It's been like this for probably 2 months now. I can't tell if she can see out of it or not. She seems absolutely fine and shows no sign of discomfort or odd behaviour. We've taken her to the vet but he only suggested other clinics which cost money we can't afford atm.

If your vet has recommended seeing a specialist, I would take their advice. Illnesses, cataracts, neurologic changes, and other issues can all be potential causes for clouding of the eye, and a specialist, or veterinary ophthalmologist will have the right tools and knowledge to better determine what it is and provide treatment options. If you're having trouble affording care, this site may help give you some ideas/options if you decide to see the specialist: https://www.humanesociety.org/resources/having-trouble-affording-veterinary-care
