Pet's info: Dog | Pomeranian | Male | neutered | 11 lbs
I adopted a new dog yesterday. I noticed that every time my kids or I get up to walk, he will stand right in front of us, almost making up trip. What can I do to stop this behavior? He is a 2 year old, male, Pomeranian.

Congratulations on adding Teddy to your family. This type of behavior may be difficult to modify and will take time. Basically ignore him when he does this. Praise him when he stands to the side. You must be quick in your praise and it will take him a while to be conditioned to this behavior. He is likely trying to get your attention. This behavior may calm down as well as he becomes accustomed to his new home. I hope this helps and please feel free to post any additional questions.
