Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. There are many causes of inappetance so it is hard to say for sure what the cause is in Chester. Something is bothering him but without examining him and without testing, I cannot say for sure what it is. I would recommend having a veterinarian examine him so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I would have x-rays and blood testing performed to establish a minimum database and find out if there are any abnormalities. I hope this helps guide you in the right direction. Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
