This can be a sign of an eye infection or injury to the eye. Any eye problem needs to be checked out by a vet promptly as leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I'd take Ginger into a vet today.

Poor Munchkin! It's quite serious that she cannot open her eye all the way. Without seeing her in person, I can't rule out an injury to it or an eye infection, but I can say she needs to see a vet immediately. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it should be considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would take Munchin into an ER vet or find a vet on call to see her now to have her eye examined and diagnosed so it can be treated.

A check up would be needed as appropriate treatment would include antibiotics and anti-inflammatory eye drops. Corneal injuries must be ruled out as well. It is likely due the difference in anatomy of the small eye. She may have an allergy or infection that is making worse currently. I would have your vet check it to see if medication is needed to help control the discharge and inflammation. If the eye is otherwise quiet, talk to them about having the eye removed if this is a long term problem since it is no visual anyway, it can help with over all comfort long term

I would have Junor seen by a vet. This discharge can be indicative of an eye infection, and that requires an antibiotic eye ointment to treat. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it should be considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. Brown discharge often indicates infection or a corneal scratch. From the photo, the right eye appears blue which can indicate significant injury or corneal dystrophy (I;m not sure rather if this is an old issue or is recent). I recommend to play it safe and have J examined by the veterinarian. He should also wear an elizabethan collar to prevent rubbing the eye which could cause further injury. I hope this helps.
