My dog has bug bites, hair loss, and red spots. Is it fleas?

Pet's info: Dog | Miniature Schnauzer | Male | unneutered | 2 years and 10 months old | 18 lbs

Some sort of bug is biting my dog and causing hair loss and now as of today little red spots . i can see them on the service of his skin . I have taken him to the groomers, began a weekly flea bath and weekly washing his and my bedding . i’m not sure what else will help .

It may be Marlo has fleas, and he needs a flea treatment program to get rid of them. First, I would give him Capstar. It's a one time pill that starts killing fleas within 30 minutes. Then follow up with a spot on treatment, such as Advantage or Revolution. This is a treatment that has to be used once a month. You will also have to disinfect the environment. Wash his bedding in hot soapy water, and vacuum the furniture and carpet surfaces. You can use a spray to kill fleas in the house, such as Indorex, or a flea bomb would work well to kill the fleas in the home.

Is this just a hot spot or something from her scratching that can just be treated OTC with HC cream or something? Or could it be worse and need to be seen by the vet? She recently had a few fleas and was scratching a bunch but I gave her one capstar
