My son took my overweight dog out on a trail walk Saturday afternoon when he brought him home he went to get out of the car and I think he injured a muscle.. He was panting heavily and drank Alot of water I managed to get him outside and he peed Alot them hobbled back in the house and layed down.. I can't afford a vet and I'm really concerned about him. He does drink Alot of water as fas as eating he won't touch his dog food but did eat some tuna. Have any answers?

Kanuke does look overweight in the picture, and he could have really hurt himself on the walk. I recommend resting him for the next 48 hours. No running, jumping, or playing. Take him out to toilet on a leash, and bring him right back in when he's done. If he still appears painful after this time, then I would take him into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. He may also benefit from some pain medications, which the vet can prescribe. Please do not give him any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given.
