Pet's info: Dog | English Bulldog | Female | spayed | 3 years and 2 months old | 56 lbs
Hello, I recently washed my dog, who is a 3 year old English Bulldog. It's been a few hours since washing her and she has developed large red bumps all over her body. She does not look to be in pain, is acting normal and even playing, but I am wondering if this is possibly an allergic reaction or something more serious? Also, would something like Benadryl be ok to give to help this?

This is probably an allergic reaction due to shampoo you used to wash her. those reactions tend to resolve within 48 hours without treatment. if the swelling becomes too large or if your dog is lethargic, take her to the vet in order to get an antihistamine injection.

These look like an allergic response, which may be to bug bites but could be many other things. Many anti-parasite shampoos are irritant and can aggravate sensitive skin. If she is itchy and restless she would benefit from antiinflammatory medication but in most cases they will resolve over 24-48hours. Monitor closely for any changes in breathing which can be a rare but serious complication
