This looks like a scab. He could have gotten this after a little bug bite, a local skin infection, a minor injury from being in the yard, or something else. Since it is so small, I would not be too concerned right now. If it isn't healing, you see discharge, you find more spots, or this spot gets larger, I would have your vet take a look at it to see if he needs any oral meds or other treatment to help it heal. I hope this helps !

Scabs around the neck like this are usually due to excessive scratching, either from itchy skin or ears. This itching usually indicates an infection of some sort. I would keep an eye on the area and if it spreads it is cruising Midnight discomfort then I would recommend taking him in to the vet to be checked out.

If she has been outdoors then most likely they are cat fight wounds or abscesses. However, other things like ringworm or bacterial skin infections are possible too. I would encourage you to have her evaluated by a veterinarian soon. She may need antibiotics, and she should be tested for infectious/ contagious diseases and be started on vaccinations. Best of luck and I hope she does well! Thank you for caring for her and for using Pet Coach.

Hello, thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! A single scab is nothing to worry about. If there are multiple scabs or you notice him scratching excessively then you should have him to your vet for an exam. Hope this helps. Best wishes.
