My dog has red, bleeding neck sores with a foul smell. What's wrong?

Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | neutered | 10 years and 2 months old | 129 lbs

My dog has cushion he is Boston Terrier he has several red bump cluster on neck vet shaved and from back of neck mid back they shaved due to sores still bleeding fowl Oder I’ve used bacitracin hydrocortisone and a yellow liquid from vet it’s been a month no progress can you tell me what I can use

Poor Pax! I would be worried about some type of resistant infection, a fungal infection or a weird type of cancer. I would talk to your vet about doing a culture and sensitivity to see if there is any bacterial growth. If not then the next step would be to do some biopsies of that area and send it to the lab. They can use the biospies to look for cancer cells and do a fungal culture as well. Also make sure he isn't scratching it. If so, I would try giving him Benadryl twice a day to see if this helps. Also talk to your vet about ordering some muprocin ointment. This may be a stronger ointment to help clear up the area. Unfortunately, it just sounds like some more diagnostics need to be done. I hope this helps!
