Pet's info: Dog | Golden Retriever | Male | unneutered | 3 months and 19 days old | 6 lbs
Hello there, i’am from india. There’s a dealer in my country that discourages me from using royal canin for my golden retriever puppy, or any dog. The reason he gives me is that royal canin contains steroids, which will enable fast growth in my puppy but ultimately in next 4-5 years will damage my dogs organs fataly. Is it true? Also he says that i shouldn’t use dog foods like n&d and orijen for indian weather as they contain too much meat and it will make my dog bleed internally.

Hello, if these foods are being made under the standards and regulations of AAFCO then the food should not contain any steroids. Dogs can have food sensitivities to protein within the food, but this is not true for every dog. Signs of food sensitivities may include vomiting, diarrhea (with or without blood), lethargy and a decreased appetite. Hope this helps and best of luck
