Okay we think Marley got hit when he ran off. His paws are raw the pads are completely gone in areas. I’m taking him to the vet tomorrow. Should I clean his paws and tape a piece of gause with some aquaphor on it ? And he’s making this low rumble sound every few minutes

Ouch, poor Marley! Yes you can gently clean them and apply gauze on his pads to protect them, but I would highly recommend a vet visit tonight. If he did get hit by a car when he ran off, he could have internal injuries that may be severe. He could be making this rumbling noise because he's in pain, and unfortunately there are no human pain medications you can give him. Many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. Internal injuries could include bleeding, broken bones, or damage to organs that left untreated for too long could prove to be fatal. The best thing to do is rush him into an ER vet or find a vet on call to see him now. Best of luck.
