My senior dog is clingy to my husband. Is it arthritis or anxiety?

Pet's info: Dog | Boxer | Female | spayed | 85 lbs

Hi my 8 year old boxer just started this a week ago and it's not all day it is only from around noon to around when my husband gets home and he hasn't been home Alot and she clings on to him and then she settles down for the night she is still eating and drinking and she will lay out at the gate and wait for him but we had her out there just 2mionths ago and she had her blood work done and it was fine because we put her on remadal for her arthritis but if the weather changes and the wind blows

Hi and thanks for posting on Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! There can be many reasons why Cornia has begun to be a little more clingy to your husband than usual. If she has arthritis, it may be the changes in weather make her arthritis symptoms worse. Sometimes animals cling to their owners when they are not feeling well. I would consult with Cornia's veterinarian and get her in for an exam to make sure there is not something else more concerning going on. If it is determined she just has arthritis, she may need a medication adjustment or additional medications or therapies to help her symptoms.
