Why is my 6-week-old kitten's bottom swollen with loose stools?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Persian | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 9 days old | 0.55 lbs

My 6 weeks old kitten is having loose/semi- solid motion for the past couple of days and I am taking her to the vet tomorrow. When she was born her ass was looking fine but when I checked day before yesterday I noticed that her vagina and ass have become swollen. I am not sure whether her ass is swollen or if it is protruding out. Can you please help identify with attached pics. God's Grace it should be swollen only. feeding her meow food. She is very active and eats properly. Whyloose stools.

Luckily it looks like her anus is just swollen and red causing it to protrude. I don't see any sign of a prolapse thankfully. Try and keep it clean and comfortable until you can get to the vet tomorrow.
