Pet's info: Dog | Australian Shepherd | Male | neutered
My dog is skipping breakfast randomly. He will eat his dinner but sometimes won’t eat breakfast. I’ve noticed he has a sensitive stomach and will sometimes vomit. I think wheat based treats make him throw up so I stay away from those. His food has not changed. He doesn’t have abnormal diarrhea and his behavior is normal. I plan on taking him to a vet soon but need to wait until the next pay cycle. What could be wrong?

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Kuma could be suffering from a dietary sensitivity or indiscretion. I would start by initiating a bland diet and then feed this at least 3 days beyond the resolution of the vomit. Once it is resolved, I would transition back to the dog food. If the vomiting and decreased appetite begin again, I would do the bland diet and then transition to a completely different dog food altogether and see if this helps. If this does not help, then I would have the veterinarian examine Kuma so that the most appropriate diagnostic and treatment recommendations can be made. I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I would be more than happy to help you further.
