What causes a dog's crusty nose and how can I treat it at home?

Pet's info: Dog | Chihuahua | Female | unspayed | 12 years and 8 months old | 6 lbs

Leela has a crusty nose. I'm not entirely sure why she has it or what to do. I've heard of nose butter but I'd like some opinions first. The darker spots on the top of her nose is the crusty part

Yes, some pets have a particularly crusty spot on their nose that can be treated with Vaseline or Bag Balm ointment. Just a small amount should be used and it can be used daily. I hope this helps! Best wishes with your Lella.
