How to get rid of spiders safely with a kitten? Are essential oils toxic?

I have a spider problem, and will be adopting a kitten soon. The only essential that repel spider are harmful to cats. I.e. treetea, lavender, citrus. If these were to dry, as in i sprayed them and let it dry, would it still be harmful? If it was diluted would it still be toxic? And if so, what are pesticides i could use that wouldnt harm our kitten? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 1 month and 22 days old | 3 lbs
