My male cat fights, roams, and masturbates excessively. Is it anxiety?

Hello, I live in a village and have about 1 year-old male cat. He's free to go wherever he wants whenever he wants so he often goes out but always comes back, I know he's started copulating with other cats because there's plenty of cats around, some was on their "periods" and he was coming home with some bites etc. About two months ago I noticed he started masturbating with my blanket, I know it's normal, but he does it up to 4 times a day, which I read may be an attempt of anxiety, what do I do

In order to protect your cat from thee big feline viral diseases (FeLV, FIV, etc) that are transmitted through body fluids and bites, you should have him castrated ASAP. He will then also fight less, come home with less injuries, will not mark everywhere and his urine will not stink anymore.
